Andres Moreno G. is partner at Moreno Baldivieso, where he leads the international arbitration, M&A and insurance practices. In the field of arbitration, he possesses extensive experience in affairs under ICSID, CCI, CIAC and CAINCO rules, which includes representing the interests of private investors in the single most important investment arbitration in Bolivian history (USD $1.5 billion). He is a member of the “Commission on Arbitration and ADR” of the Paris International Chamber of Commerce and the Latin American Group belonging to said institution.
In the scope of M&A and international transactions, he has acted as counsel in several of the most representative transactions executed in Bolivia, including mining operations, insurance, banking, finance, telecommunications, construction and execution of public contracts.
Andrés holds a law degree from the Universidad Católica Boliviana and is barred in Bolivia. He also has an LLM from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas—ICADE (Spain) and postgraduate studies at Harvard Law School and Oxford University. He continues to be acknowledged by Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal and GAR 100.
